About Us

The Grant is being provided as part of the National Foundation for Australia-China Relations 2024-25 Competitive Grants Program. The National Foundation for Australia-China Relations was established by the Australian Government in 2020 to support enhanced cooperation between Australia and China. It aims to strengthen existing ties and build cooperation in areas of shared interest and mutual benefit, consistent with our national interest.It supports and deepens understanding of China; the value of the bilateral relationship and the extensive people-to-people links that exist between the two countries as well as the rich contribution of Chinese Australians to Australia’s story, and the contribution of Australians to China’s story. Led by Victoria University, in partnership with 7 other Australian Universities, this program will help develop, promote, and strengthen understanding and engagement between Australia and China, including with business and community stakeholders, in support of Australia’s national interests including by:

  • Promoting connections and practical cooperation
  • Building understanding and exchange
  • Showcasing Australian excellence
  • Engaging Australia’s diverse communities”
